Sankar did his part time M.E. in Engineering Design at College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. His project was titled “Thermal analysis of friction stir spot welding process using finite element method” and was jointly guided by Dr. Latha Nagendran (AU) and G. Phanikumar (IITM). Sankar presented his work at the third Asian syposium on Materials and Processing held at IIT Madras during June, 2012.
